Death of Nadav and Avihu

Nadav and Avihu, sons of Aharon, died when they offered an unauthorized fire before G-d (Vayikra 10:1-2). Many commentators have offered explanations for their deaths, but they remain essentially a mystery. Their passing occurred on the very day of the Mishkan's inauguration.
