The Splitting of the Sea (Kriat Yam Suf). The Israelites crossed the Red Sea on dry ground. When the Egyptians pursued them, the waters returned and drowned Pharaoh's entire army. Moshe and the people of Israel sang the Shirah (Song of the Sea) (Shemot 14:21-15:21).
