27 Nisan
Location

Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day), designated by the Knesset in 1951 to commemorate the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust and the heroism of the ghetto fighters and resistance movements. A siren sounds across Israel and the nation stands in silence. When 27 Nisan falls on Friday, the observance is moved to 26 Nisan; when it falls on Sunday, it is moved to 28 Nisan, so as not to conflict with Shabbat.
