Hadassah Hospital Convoy Ambush

A convoy of physicians, nurses, and guards — 78 people — was ambushed by Arab forces on the way to Hadassah Hospital on Mount Scopus (April 13, 1948). The attack became a defining tragedy of the pre-state period.
