Rav Aryeh Leib Heller

The Ketzos HaChoshen (1745-1812). One of the most influential Acharonim, his Ketzos HaChoshen on Choshen Mishpat and Avnei Miluim on Even HaEzer are among the most widely and intensively studied works in yeshivos worldwide. Born in Galicia, he served as Rav of Stry. Despite extreme poverty throughout his life, he produced works of extraordinary depth and originality that became cornerstones of Talmudic legal analysis.
