Rav Eliyahu HaKohen Ha'Itamari

Author of Shevet Mussar (c.1650-1729). His lineage dates back to Itamar, son of Aharon HaKohen. In his book Ve'lo Od Ela, he describes the earthquake that shook Izmir in 1688 and the miracles that occurred to the Jews of the city. He authored nearly 40 sefarim in all, including Medrash Talpiyot and Chut shel Chessed on Chumash.
