Rav Shabsai Sheftl Horowitz (1590-1660), son of the Shelah HaKadosh (Rav Yeshayahu Horowitz). He published his father's Shnei Luchot HaBrit with his own introduction, Vavei HaAmudim (1649), and served as Rav of Vienna. He preserved and disseminated his father's legacy.
