Rav Yehoshua Falk Katz (d. 1614), author of the Sma (Sefer Me'irat Einayim) on Choshen Mishpat and the Derishah and Perishah on the Tur. A student of the Rema and the Maharshal, and grandfather of the Pnei Yehoshua. His Sma is one of the primary commentaries studied on Choshen Mishpat.
