About “Star” in Hebrew

Stars feature prominently in God's promise to Abraham that his descendants would be as numerous as the stars. The Star of David (Magen David), a six-pointed star, has been the symbol of the Jewish people for centuries and appears on the Israeli flag. In Hebrew, the word kochav is also used for celebrity, and the Negev desert is famous for its stunning stargazing opportunities.
