About “Night” in Hebrew

Night in Jewish tradition is both a time of vulnerability and spiritual depth. The evening Shema prayer asks for God's protection through the night, and the study of Torah at night is considered especially meritorious. The Passover seder, one of the most important Jewish rituals, takes place at night, as the Exodus from Egypt occurred under the cover of darkness.
