How It All Began: The Story Behind IsraelFineArt.com

Some of you may not know the origins of IsraelFineArt.com. It started in the most unexpected way, in the days right after the horrific attacks on 10/7. At the time, I had my own personal art website under a different name. But when everything in Israel turned upside down, I felt moved to help in whatever way I could.

I began reaching out to my artist friends, asking them to send me images of their work. I started working with printers in the US to have their art printed on small items like keychains and candles, and a generous donor in the States stepped in to sponsor the production costs. Because of her support, every dollar raised from sales went directly to widows and orphans here in Israel. It was intense, emotional work, and it gave me a sense of purpose when everything felt broken.

That effort led to collaboration with more and more artists. I realized how powerful it felt to come together and share our gifts. I loved that sense of connection and creativity. Slowly, that little pop-up fundraiser grew into something much more lasting.  A real home for artists who live in the Land of Israel was born. We created an online gallery where we could lift each other up, give people around the world a place to discover meaningful, soulful artwork, and allow those of us who live here to tell our stories through paint, ink, and color (and some breathtaking black and white photography).

Jewish Action Magazine wrote a piece about what we do, and it was such an honor. They saw the heart behind it all and shared our story with their readers. Being featured there gave us a moment to pause and reflect. This little gallery was becoming a community. It’s creativity rooted in love for our people and this Land.

I wanted to share that with you because I think sometimes we forget how far we have come. What began as a simple desire to help has become a growing platform that supports artists and fills homes with beauty and meaning.
